The true meaning of sisterhood is love, support, and the knowledge that there will always be someone around whom you can talk to or share your stories with, no matter what. Sisterhood is being there to encourage one another through good times and bad. Sisterhood is more than friendship; it is a bond that will last you an eternity. Phi Chapter’s sisters may only be active until they graduate, but all agree that the friendships made in Omega Phi Alpha are for a lifetime.
Phi Chapter of Omega Phi Alpha is composed of roughly 50 active sisters, all of whom come from diverse ethnic, religious and socioeconomic backgrounds. Omega Phi Alpha does not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, age, ability, sexual orientation or gender and is committed to promote tolerance in our sisterhood. The girls you meet in Omega Phi Alpha are some of the closest friends you will make during your time as a student at Arizona State University. Becoming a sister ensures that you will find other like-minded individuals who are passionate about the same things that you are (especially service!).
Omega Phi Alpha prides itself not only in our amazing service work, but also in our sisterhood. Our VP of Sisterhood organizes monthly sisterhood events that provide a fun atmosphere for sisters to grow with one another. Past events have included trips to the Flagstaff, movie and game nights, dinners out (or in), ice cream socials, craft nights, pool parties, and more! Every semester the VP of Sisterhood also plans a retreat for all of our active sisters. Sisters of Omega Phi Alpha are not only dedicated to their community, but to the fellowship formed with our friends in service.
